You can use this spindle as usual turkish drop spindle or you can take a shaft and use it as a supported spindle. The handpainted part of the spindle is lacquered and the shaft is covered with flaxseed oil and then buffed and polished with natural beeswax from my Dad's bee garden.
Turkish spindle can hold app. 4 oz (100 gr) of yarn. It is great both for spinning and plying.
